TODD ABLOWITZ

In addition to being Co-Founder/Publisher of PaymentFacilitator.com, Todd Ablowitz is a respected industry leader with more than 20 years of experience working with the payments industry’s top brands, as well as up-and-coming technology innovators. Ablowitz established Double Diamond Group in 2008, and he has a unique blend of experience, connections and know-how to help clients solve their most critical business challenges.

During his career, Ablowitz has developed strategies based on trends and market demands, created and launched new products, and built and led successful sales organizations. Since
establishing Double Diamond Group, he and his team have executed hundreds of successful engagements including the following examples:

  • Directed and established a payments acceptance framework for a leading e-commerce platform
  • Developed a global mobile strategy for one of the world’s leading ISOs
  • Established a vertical market strategy for a private equity firm’s payments business
  • Led strategy, innovation and business development initiatives for a mobile payments and payments processing pioneer
  • Conducted competitive analysis for an offers and loyalty company

Prior to establishing Double Diamond Group, Ablowitz was Senior Vice President of Sales for ViVOtech, Inc., a leading contactless and mobile payments company of the time, where he successfully built and led its sales team and facilitated the acceptance of new technology to the world’s top retail brands. Ablowitz gained deep industry knowledge and leadership experience during his 10 years with First Data Corp. Throughout his First Data career, he and his teams repeatedly conceived and executed programs that generated millions of dollars of incremental revenue and profit.

Investors, media, analysts and industry watchers frequently rely on Ablowitz for expert advice, trend insights and consulting. He presents at numerous industry events and investor conferences where he is viewed as an authority on payment technology, mobile payments and emerging payments trends. He also, is quoted extensively as an expert in industry trade and consumer publications.

His leadership is exemplified by service to the industry. He is a member of the Electronic Transactions Association (ETA), where he served on the board from 2008 to 2012. In 2010, Ablowitz received the industry’s highest individual honor, ETA Member of the Year.

Ablowitz holds a bachelor’s degree in political science from the University of Colorado at Boulder, and a certificate in negotiation from the Program on Negotiation at Harvard Law School.
